For over 20 years, Macy Gray has gained acclaim globally on the music scene. This R&B, jazz and soul singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and actress, is best known for her distinctive raspy voice, and a singing style heavily influenced by Billie Holiday. With over 25 million record sales worldwide, Gray has been overturning fan expectation and industry formula since kicking off her music career with her debut 1999 CD, On How Life Is. That musical calling card spawned the classic single “I Try,” and both the CD and single were massive global hits which kicked off a streak of success including two Grammys, two MTV awards and a thriving acting career. Her 10th studio LP, Ruby, was released in fall of 2018.
